Once Again Desire/WOM Writers...

Outdo the Competition!!!

The WOM finale was FAR better than that of WWGames!!! -- Show tied up all loose ends!!!

GREAT scene to end the show with!!! -- Andre in a jail cell across from Alex Thomas -- it was like he died and went to Eyecandy Heaven!!!

FINAL SCENE with Alex/DESIRE and Andre/WOM:

That was my favorite part! Everything before that is a blur. LOVED the way the show ended with a scene that included DESIRE and WOM clips that went extremely well together. There was NO need for any words or action after that--The End, CREDITS rolls. It was INGENIOUS!!! Very Impressive!!! To be enjoyed by both Desire fans and non-fans.

Which telenovel will they be working on next?

American Heiress?
Or Saints & Sinners?

GOOD Question!

Don't know who's going where. Hopefully Joker/DC will post and let fans know where the writers are heading.

American Heiress

Saints & Sinners

Based on the Credits List, the DESIRE/WOM Writers did NOT work on either show.

Well the editors from Desire/WOM are on Heiress, so we'll be lurking over in that forum if you decide to check it out :)

Desire/WOM writers Guy Busick and Matt Popham worked on "Rules of Deception". Busick was the head writer. All 65 episodes were written, but MyNetworkTV cancelled production on it. It's too bad. I think you guys probably would've enjoyed it.

reply

Why doesnt mynetworktv just produce these telenovas for video? Heck the TV market has such high competition and if you added these shows to the mcdonald's red box or the internet dvd mailing companies, im sure the publicity would be there. Instead, star actors will continue to struggle to be known because MyNetworkTV didn't have their cake and eat it too. Something should be done because some of these shows are awesum and deserve better credit.

Wouldn't you need 20 to 30 DVDs to fit an entire novella into a set? I wish the network would take your suggestion, but is such a huge set practical?

When "Rules of Deception" was written, do you know if they used the "Coyote Ugly" subplot from the original?

reply

What is the "Coyote Ugly" subplot exactly?

I was one of the writers on Rules. The gist of the story is that Mia Russell moves from Ohio to Los Angeles and gets a job at construction company owned by the father of her college roommate, Emily. Mia falls in love with Ray, a young architect at the company, and Emily tries to steal him from her.
