I loved but for me small plot hole

Let me explain where I saw a plot hole. There was a scene when ellie murders Judd that was actually in one of the tv spots you could find on youtube. It was when she says to him "we're here now to bring you back so you can suffer with us" When I saw this clip before the movie it got me curious and I wondered if the whole undead family was there to kill Judd and bury. Anyway in the movie we learn that she really just means herself and is also referencing Norma that got the same treatment ellie did. Okay anyway her statement to me implied she intended to bring Judd back(as punishment) the way she did her while family but this never happens. It would have made sense to see Judd with the others at the end as they are about to pounce on Gage. Maybe should have shown a scene of Ellie telling her dad Judd needs to be brought back and Louis saying Judd does not need to be part of them.
