Basically all of your suggestions wouldn't work for various reasons. Those reasons are:
a) Problems with copyrights
b) Not a monster
c) Not a monster that is ambigous
The last one is pretty important for a family oriented movie that is all about humans vs monsters where each side thinks of the other as "monsters" that just want to kill each other but in reality like each other. Most of your suggestions are ruthless killers aka "pure evil".
Of the ones you named, Slimer is the only that would fit if it wasn't for copyright problems. I don't think Slimer is old enough and important enough to enter public domain.
I think the movie had all classic monsters and characters. Maybe a scarecrow of sorts was missing and there are certainly many versions of the boogie man that could have been added but generally speaking, we had it all. From a western point of view, that is.
