I wonder if Maya's mom will be mad at Will for... (spoiler alert)

Telling their daughter that she cheated on him while they were dating. Isn't that the kind of thing he should have kept to himself? I know for the purpose of the story, we had to know that Emily slept with his roommate, but I'd imagine she would be pissed at him for telling their daughter about that. It should have been the kind of thing that either stayed in the past or that the mom told the daughter about when she was much older.

He kind of revealed his own skeletons too, so it's not like he just threw his ex-wife under the bus...Heck, during that same part of the story, he admits to kissing at least two other women while intending to propose to Emily.

Plus, the fact that they eventually found their way back to each other despite that one hiccup years prior can be used as an illustration of the importance of forgiving...Them getting married kind of makes what happened in the past seem less important.

I am sure Maya knows that her mother is not perfect and did some reckless things when she was younger...She herself even kind of takes a very mature approach to the whole thing with her comment "about loving her dad anyway."...That probably applies to her mother as well.

I am not the biggest fan of this movie, but I got the impression Maya was far closer ( and understanding) of her father then her mother. It was interesting how much ( and quickly) Maya bonded with April ( see how they hold hands). Quite often kids do not like "The Other Woman." New wife/GF etc. I understand that she got to meet April through the story and she pointed out that April was the only one who her father did not change the name of, but I wonder if down the road Maya ends up living with her dad and April, and April who has a huge heart for people, turns out to be the mother/guiding force that she needs, and Maya becomes the daughter she never wanted when she was younger?
