I loved the 2014 Godzilla by Gareth Edwards
It told an actual story, which is something the silly 98 movie failed to do with it's cartoon-ish characters and bad plot.
In the 2014 version, the monster battle scenes were awesome, the CGI was good and I liked most of the characters. There were roars, destruction, plus a slug out within a major U.S. city. What else do you people want? Do you need to feel the searing heat from Godzilla's breath to think a Godzilla movie is worthy?
Seriously, I don't understand the hate for this movie when you have pure "grade A crap" like the Pacific Rim movies. And don't even get me started on how bad the last two Jurassic World movies have been. Garbage.
