Anybody ever wave at Godzilla?

I saw this in theaters, and as the movie ended with Godzilla waking up and the crowd cheering before Godzilla went back to the sea, I was actually waving at him.

I was wishing someone would have been shown trying to reach out towards him as he dove into the sea. And did you notice how it cut away from the time he woke up until the time he left? A wonderful idea of the makers of the movie to do that. It leaves to our imagination to think of what happened during those moments that Godzilla was awake until he left.
