the focus of the film then becomes essentially pov of various organizations in society, military, rescue workers, ordinary civilians, scientists, etc as they bear powerless witness to the destructive forces of these disasters.

godzilla and muto are personification of various forces of nature. studied vigorously, combated zealously, still absolutely dangerous, destructive, ans enigmatic in their own ways, and they bring immediately wanton destruction in its path, but leave just as swiftly and without incident.
