The most stomach turning part of this 'film'

Is the added interviews, with the troll director and the bleached- white nordic screenwriter. They are typical of the Hollywood knee-jerks who blame the white male for everything thats wrong in this world, from 9/11 to the fact that this country is still as racist as it was a hundred years ago. I wonder how many "minorites" live in their neighborhoods? These two nobody pukes and their dreadful piece of crap film are the epitome of the weak feminized male.If that troll director was captured like the late Daniel Pearl by Islamic terrorists they would have slit his throat before demanding he proclaim his Jewishness. But it's this country and our President who are the reason for the world to "Grieve". Two pathetic spineless specimens they are.BTW: why does the troll director only compare the acting abilities of Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs with two other African-American actors? (Samuel L. Jackson and Laurence Fishburne) are African-American actors only to be compared in their acting brilliance with other African-American actors?

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably an ugly chicken.

The main character is a liberal who fears being a racist. That is the fear being actualized on screen. The movie isn't a jab at supposed 'racists' .. it is a jab at the unfounded liberal white guilt. All the fears actualized in the film are false fears (e.g. his wife cheating on him) .. that is the point.

I think "sqarebird" (sorry if misspelled) is right on the money.

All of the "racist" content was a manifestation of fear that the main character and, possibly, some modern, white, liberal men hide inside, deny and, thus, fear.

So, on the contrary, I think addressing that in this movie was a rather bold move by the filmmakers and something quite opposite of what many "Hollywood knee-jerks" would do. (I hope what I'm trying to say makes sense...)

I know a lot of white guys like that - who are so full of so-called "white guilt" and unable to see the absurdity in it, that they go out of their way in a sort of surface-level, false embrace of everything multicultural. Sort of like the guy we've all known who feigns the cause of women's rights in order to get in a girl's pants.

Again, it's just my opinion, but I was impressed to see this issue brought up in "Sublime".

I didn't see the interviews so I can't comment about them, but:

to the fact that this country is still as racist as it was a hundred years ago.

That's simply not true. While there definitely IS still racism in this country (I'm assuming you are talking about the United States), there was more racism in my parent's generation, and more still in my grandparents.

Why hate someone based upon the color of their skin when you can find perfectly good more legitimate reasons to hate others? lol

(just kidding in case you were wondering - I heard a variant of that from a comedian that I can't recall right now)
