What did you think of Tom Cavanagh in this film?

Hey everyone! :)

I"m a big fan of Tom Cavanagh and when I found out he was in this movie I just had to see it. So I rented it and watched it last night. The reviews I had read for it were mixed so I didn't know really what to expect. I'm not a fan of horror films but I am a fan of psychological horror. And some of the reviews I had read classified this film as a psychological horror. So that made me want to watch it even more. Well, to tell you the truth I was not disappointed. I thought it was a pretty good film. Not great by any means, but definitely good. It was a little slow for me, but I kept watching to see what would happen next.

Anyway, what did you all think of Tom Cavanagh's performance in this film? I thought he was good. Of course, I still like him better as Ed Stevens (on his show "Ed"), I thought his performance was brilliant. Especially in the scene right after he finds his wife and Dr. Shirazzi in the East Ward having sex. The next scene is where the doctors and the attorneys are talking to him about the file he found in the East Ward. And that's when they tell him he has a flesh eating virus in his leg and some kind of infection in his chest. That is my favorite scene because Tom does some serious acting in that scene. Like when Dr. Shirazzi spoke to him and he said "I wasn't *beep* talking to you!" and when he was trying to tell them about the East Ward and he said "Jenny knows where it is" and he looked at his wife and said "don't you?" His bright blue eyes are stone cold in that scene. He's one of those actors who doesn't even have to say anything to let you know he's angry. He just has to look at you. But I thought he was great in that scene. Some top notch acting by him. I also loved it when he would try to explain the East Ward to them and they kept calling his name and he would lose his patience and say "what?! What? WHAT?!" He made you think he was actually going crazy. What did you guys think? Or do you think he should stick to comedy and being Ed? Well, thanks for reading my post! Sublime is a good movie! :) :) :)

I thoroughly enjoyed his performance in this film. This movie showed just how versatile he is. I've really only seen him do comedy work (Ed and his guest spots on Scrubs), but this really let him shine.

Great. He was simply great. Not easy to du such a painful role!

Actually, I hate Tom. His stupid huge teeth. I found the show Ed unbearable, only because I couldn't stand to look at his face.

BUT, I enjoyed this movie and thought he did great. I suppose because he didn't smile a lot. :)

Tom was good. The role was not easy and I think he provided quite a powerful performance - the film was powerful and dramatic itself, afterall. With a better script it would have likely improved.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
