such a thing as too many flashbacks...?

about two thirds of the way through the film, they started feeling unnecessary.

I agree! I got so incredibly bored I had my husband fast forward through the flashbacks,lol. In the end the entire movie was a big fat waste of time. I expected more.

Yes. You did not understand the movie at all. It rivets watchers' attention from the beginning to the end.

That is a matter of personal opinion. I found it dreadfully boring with TOO many flashbacks, which is what this post was about. Keep your opinions to yourself- just because I don't agree is no reason to make it personal. Jerk.

Half of the movie is made of flashbacks. They are indeed too many.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

the flashbacks kind of were the point. They kept flashing back to the actual events to show how he was distorting them in his subconscious.

Some of us find Salvation in Nothing.
