The boy that Brad Pitt's family pretty much adopted, what happened to his parents? I saw them in the apartment, but not when they were running for the roof. Did they stay, or get killed on the way up?

The boy's father can be briefly glimpsed on the roof at the front of the zombie pack that runs for the helicopter. Guess things didn't work out well for them.

How could you? With the shaky cam - fast editing I defy anyone to actually tell me what happened to them in the stairwell. It's only when they come out on the rooftop that you can see that the boy's parents have been turned.🐭

Also, once Pitt's family left the apartment they show noise/the door to the apartment moving, as though zombies were trying to get it.

The boy's father led the pack of Zombies, chasing Brad Pitt on the roof. The mother was the Zombie hanging on to the helicopter before they shot her off. Never saw his siblings again.
