Zombie Strippers is listed on channels more than this 'movie'. In fact, I don't recall EVER seeing it listed on any channel. No one wants to air it because its so bad they know that viewers would watch ANY other channel than the one that is airing this putrid pile of poo.
Well it has a user rating of 7. Anything 7 or above seems to be a pretty good score, so obviously lots of other people liked it. I liked it. I didn't read the book, maybe that makes a difference.
As far as being on TV, movies get promoted (or not) for lots of different reasons. Cost, legal issues, disputes, interest in the genre, saturation of similar movies, etc. You really can't judge a movie just on how often its shown.
7 is a generous decent score --- so boring to say: read the book. It's NOT THAT long...
Maybe appreciate the movie more. At least how the hell they made it filmable - the book is certainly NOT written with a screenplay in mind.
Minor thing: DaVinci Code - reading that - it literally felt like a barely drawn out paper-thin screenplay. I read it before the movie. Also. (Rare for me.)
It's never been on "free" tv yet until tonight with FX because obviously those who own the rights to it hadn't sold it until now. They held out for a good price I would guess. The other stations didn't "bother" to show it before because they don't have it! They can't just show any film that comes along. Not too hard to figure out. Although I was always surprised with the crap line-up on HBO and Showtime, etc., why this wasn't on premium cable.
