I have watched the first 10 minutes....*mild spoiler*

after borrowing this film from a friend of mine.
I really enjoyed the opening scene with Conan being born on the battlefield, and the whole race/fight sequence with the eggs. I've really enjoyed, what I've seen so far.

I'm going to watch the rest of the film, tonight - I'm perplexed at the terrible reviews this film gets, does it really nose-dive from here? Is it really that bad a film, or are all the reviewers jumping on the bandwagon? I'll be very interested to see how the rest of the film plays out.

Argh! I've watched the rest of it, and felt it really nosedived after the promising start, such a shame too. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!

Yeah, that was the kicker for me - The whole first act seemed to be setting up a legendary character... only to pop out with just another tired old rehashing of a mediocre concept, which was 'Conan-ised' by the addition of a few out-of-context passing references to the original source work.

After all the hype, I'm still quite angry over what a complete let down and balls-up the whole film was. I expected it from Clash Of The Titans (and indeed any other remake), but not Conan!!

Finally watched Immortals... Not a good film by any means but still better than Conan 2011, if for no other reason than the cinematography alone!

Jason Mamoa was good, the movie was not.
