30% Funny. 70% Very Not Funny.

My buddy was dying for me to see this movie since he knows I have a very broad sense of humor. Two comedies I really like on TV right now are Michael & Michael Have Issues and Party Down on Starz. So that being said I went into The Ten thinking it was going to be along those comedic lines. Well. It wasn't even close. 70% was very very not funny. 3 of the skits though were good and those are the ones you need to fast forward too. Trust me. Forget about the rest. The 3 decent skits. The CAT Scan skit. Stupid in a funny way. The Doctor "I did it as a Goof, Guy!" skit. My vote as the best skit. Ken Marino is classic in that one. And The Prison skit. Which is a continuation of the Doctor skit. Skip to those three and save yourself 70 minutes of wasted time with the other skits.

Dude this movie is 100% comedic genious. I was so depressed to see that it only has a 5.2. Now I'm a firm believer in everyone being entitled to their own opinions, but come on people. I can't take the Seth Rogen movies anymore. I mean if I hear about one more gag reel of these guys throwing out one liners I'm going to shoot myself in the foot. I will say that Paul Rudd was very weak in this movie, and that his skits in between each short are pretty far from funny, but each of the short skits are amazing.

I concur. David Wain's comedy may not be for everyone, but if you do like its quirky and surreal qualities, this is a gem. Also see his web series Wainy Days at http://www.wainydays.com
