Which one did you think was better and also, to those of you who have seen BOTH versions, do you consider this one to be also highly inferior and pointless, given that this is basically a scene-for-scene remake of the original by the same director with primarily the difference being the use of English language in this one?

sharethey're both roughly equal to me. i would probably come down on the side of preferring the remake a bit, mostly because i think pitt is a bit better as an annoying bad guy, & i like watts in that role as well.
i can't really see considering one more disturbing as is said above, because there's very little space between the films, in plot, atmosphere, style, anything really.
The only reason one would consider the remake of the original better than the OG is because they think the cast is better. Which is not.
