Why didn't the family fight back!

They were sooooo submissive. Those two geeks would not be tolerated in my house !!

Assuming you are the man of the house, you would have been left incapacitated with a shattered patella, which is extremely painful if you've ever experienced it. At that point, it is two guys vs a woman and 12-13 year old.

Before you slapped the kid, at worst you are thinking they are just in a minor disagreement with your wife over some eggs and not two psychopaths.

I highly doubt he had a shattered patella! They never state that. If you knew you and your family were going to be executed (as the killers suggested to them) you fight back with everything you have, period!

reply

I assume you haven't heard of "fight it flight"?

Realistically, you can say every day for ten years that you would fight back, but you will never know until you are out into that situation.

reply

It's "Fight OR Flight"

reply

George had so many opportunities to choke one of them but he just enjoyed the scene instead. *beep* idiot.

reply

Fight OR Flight idiot.

reply

Don't know anything about any patellas, but clearly, he could not stand on that leg. And even so, he DID try to fight back at some point and was beaten down.

Well, the dad clearly had his knee broken, and the mom and kid couldn't do much against two young chaps who can control reality. Also, they did try to fight back. Several times. And always came out the worst for it.

Considering the circumstances I can generally understand the family's moves, but I have no idea why Ann, after escaping the property just stands in the middle of the road and let's herself be recaptured again. Mind you if by chance she'd slipped away into the night, I'm sure the remote would have been pulled out earlier than it eventually was.🐭

You try being in that situation! They fought as much as they could before they were beaten - think about the situation at the Tate/Polanski house on August 9, 1969. They fought as best as they could, but were overpowered.
