I haven't seen anyone else bring this up, but I was wondering why Naomi Watts' character hides from the first car after she escapes but she stops the second car (the one with the two boys in it). There doesn't really seem to be a reason for this one small detail.
Can anybody help me out?

She obviously thought that the two psychos may be in the first car but how wrong can you be.😞
shareIsn't that how she gets captured? She thinks it's the two boys in the first car, hides, and then figures out it's not them. When the second car comes along, I assume she either genuinely think it's someone else, or she is frustrated that she blew her chances of escape with the first car and figures she'll just risk it. She may be lucky twice.
