loved the movie. but whats wrong with liking violence in a movie?

a lot of people on this board seem to be arguing that its wrong to like violence, that is the director's message etc. then I've seen some argue that they only want the protagonist to overcome violence, so violence serves as a conflict to overcome in the plot, and its not the violence itself they enjoy but the overall story.

but what is wrong with just enjoying the violence? it doesn't mean that you want to be violent in real life.. it just means because you know its only a movie, you enjoy experiencing something which you would want to avoid in real life. otherwise why have anything negative ever happen in any story?

i think this movie was awesome as it is. but if the girl had actually been able to blow away the bad guys, and the audience enjoyed the violent scene of that happening, why would there be something wrong with that? to be clear, I don't wish that happened. just questioning the director's message, if that's what it is.

Just some lame ass social justice warrior writer with an edge thinking he knows all about psychology and what movies, horror movies in particular, are about and what people want from a movie.

This movie would've worked better as a blog post somewhere on some leftish news site where people actually think the story has any psychological contextual value.

After finishing the movie I didn't even know about any stupid deeper meaning. And just thought the movie was kind of boring (in mean in the end not much happened in the span of the movie).

After I read some posts here about the "meaning" of this movie I think people on the other side of the world could hear me roll my eyes. This is probably made by the same person that tells his kid not to play any violent video games because else he'll become a serial killer.

Some people need to get their head out of their asses. I can't believe people actually though this movie was gruesome or bad or uncomfortable or good in any kind of way. Ugh.

/end rant.

You know when people rant and say phrases like "social justice warriors", they really just feel uncomfortable with how hollow they feel inside. So, they feel the need to be derisive towards "SJWs" and "the left" because "sensitive" people like that, remind them just how out of touch they really are with their own humanity.
