blew any potential this movie may have had.

I think the director had dementia.

He was mocking Hollywood's way of making films. That was an awesome joke. 

Nah. The movie had no context for jokes. Especially the abstract kind.

I thought it was a great film ....right up until that moment .... it basically made everything pointless. It could work in the right film .... but not in this one
