Mis-spelling in quotes - Tenor/Tenner


Im sure the character exclaiming "a pair of deuces... I'll raise you a "tenor" was actually referring to a tenner - or 10 pounds sterling , given the context of the conversation. Of course it is completely possible he may, given a particular proclivity, be perfectly capable of raising a tenor?
