My mom wants to know how much sex/nudity is in this movie before she lets me see it. And she wants to know how graphic too. Any help would be appricated. I REALLY want to see this movie!
Ahhh, yes... But most likely she knows she's showing those her "cheeks", because she decided to do "traditional" can-can. Fact is, to impress the guy who till the moment remainded unimpressed by other parts of her body.
There is actually none! When the young married couple go to there bedroom (and naturally want to sleep together!) you see them joking around, then kiss, then fall on the floor, the scene then moves to the rest of the house hold and their reactions to the moaning that is heard for all of 30 seconds.
In the dance (can-can) you don't see anything, or if you do it is because you have slowed it down and are watching frame by frame! You see she is not wearing the big pants, and it is obvious due to the reaction of the audience!
The only other hints are anything sexual is a moment when they get caught in a old building, but again you do not see anything, and a flashback when a dressed French lady of the night opens a door, but as I say she is dressed and there is nothing inappropriate.
It is a lovely sweet film about love and tolerance, enjoy it!
I guess what people are saying is that it does not technically have any sex scenes, but it does have sexual content, from what they've said.
If you ever want to know about movies, I use this resource to look up everything before I get any big surprises! ( www.pluggedinonline.com ) They don't have Easy Virtue because I don't think it's too available in the US yet.
Remind your mother that it's a movie about a Noel Coward play which is very classy. All the other comments are completely true. I wonder why your mother doesn't want to see it as well. I hope you get to see it.
I totally agree! Barnes IS a good-looking man but u think he would have worked out more knowing that he had multiple shirtless scenes in the movie. But hey--what can u do? LOL Technically him being in good shape had nothing to do with the movie. I heard that Heath Ledger refused to pump up for his nude scenes in "Brokeback Mountain" cause he was too lazy!:)
Well how many people in previous eras were in what we consider good shape now? Brokeback Mountain was the early sixties. Many people were either young or naturally thin then otherwise forget it. Did you ever see a bunch of hippies after a few months of partying with pot and food? At the era of Easy Virtue people were even more not in shape unless they were sports stars and didn't drink. I love Marilyn Monroe. I even saw her in person at a rodeo in AZ when I was in first grade. I still think off and on she was fat. It was acceptable. They called it curvey and sexey. Look how we think now? Britney had two babies in twenty minutes and lost control of her life for a while. FAT! She's never going to be a really thin person again. She's not a teenager. She's not an ectomorph. She's still young and none of us will ever have her money nor talent. She may not have hit her personal best yet but we get to be her judge and jury. I don't mind giving an opinion but let it be known mostly I watch my own butt! And Heath Ledger - RIP. It hurt so much to watch the last movie. I am a Chicagoan who knows exactly the areas it was filmed. How sad that my places were his some of his last places.
First off we're talking about movies not real life. Also I was talking about Ben Barnes not any of the women. In "Easy Virtue" the women all looked great and in perfect health--especially Biels. Ben Barnes on the other hand looked way too thin. I'm just saying since he had a few shirtless scenes u think he might have pumped up just a little. I'm not saying he needed muscles bulging out--just some toning would have looked good. I can think of hundreds of other films where all the people look good and have perfect skin and teeth DESPITE the fact that they might be playing poor or even homeless people! Look at "Pretty Woman". Roberts has got to be the healthiest prostitute I've ever seen. No one expects real life from movies (unless it's a documentary). When I plump down $10.00 for a comedy I want to see great look men and women and get into the story instead of thinking of how unhealthy they look. BTW--I do agree with u about women being too thin--it's frightening! I like women that look healthy meaning they don't look like stick figures. And Monroe had weight problems all her life...but even heavy she looked attractive. Look at "Some Like It Hot". She's overweight in that one but STILL looks glamorous.
