Colin Firth is so sexi in this movie. That one scene when he's outside his tool shed with his shirt unbuttoned at the top revealing his chest hair is when I first thought of him as a sex symbol. Also when he does that tango with Jessica, oh my god he is amazing!!
OMG! That's is the best way I heard him described in a long time!!!
And I totally agree! I saw him in person around the time they were filming this and he is sex on legs!!! ... and he's a brilliant actor as well! I hope he finally gets the recognition he deserves in the US (the UK and Italy, etc. seemed to have figured it out already) with an Oscar win for The King's Speech. I think he was robbed last year... but it is Hollywood...
I have a plan... It's a plan so cunning, you could stick a nose on it, and call it a fox reply share
I LOVE the Tango scene as well. And I want to say Colin is a FANTASTIC dancer. And he makes dancing very sensual and sexual with clothes on. And I agree That you DON'T need to see the actual sexual act itself for a love scene to be sexy.
No, It's NOT just you. Colin Firth has been in and played the most amazing characters in period films and The King's Speech is just the latest in his filmography.
I just saw this film last night and absolutely loved every minute of it, especially the scenes with Colin Firth. This was a different kind of role for him and I thought he was brilliant. I would love to see him in another comedy type film. He can do everything: drama, comedy. . .what a guy!!
FYI- This was not Colin's first Noel Coward based film. The first one he did was a film called Relative Values in 2000 with Julie Andrews, Billy Baldwin and Emma Thompson's sister Sophie Thompson. I thought he was FANTASTIC in the film.
