The reviewer says everything about this movie perfectly. Its an excellent piece of adult fun. It is very well made, the craft is execptional in all respects and the score is simply wonderful. The acting, above all, really is a pleasure to sit through.

I am not a big Jessica Biehl fan, but I love Colin Firth

I enjoyed this film so much. I especially liked the ending as I didn't expect it to end that way, and Kris Marshall as the butler? Loved him.

I'm suprised I liked this I usually hate period dramas but something about this I really liked and it couldnt have ended better.

The dialogue was quite snappy and fun. It was amusing and enjoyable.

So was I! I didn't have huge expectations, I loved it, ok- it was not hilarious, but enjoyable, and the acting was good. Some points with the British humour were great. I enjoyed the dog burial scene very much. And I would definitely run off with Colin Firth as well, especially after that tango!

Yes, a delighful movie, with lovely ending, witty humour, and solid performances.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
