Claire to Bradford: 'Thank you for giving me the greatest life.'

Why would she say that? He didn't give her a great life at all. He cheated on her with other women, including a very public affair with Fey Sommers for 20 years. He had sex with Wilhelmina while Claire was in jail after turning herself in to get him out of jail. He bought into all of Wilhelmina's crap, including her story that Claire had had her beat up, and almost married Wilhelmina. Claire grieved her son Alex for two years when he wasn't really dead, because Bradford said if he went through gender reassignment surgery he might as well stay dead to them.

I know she may have been saying it because she knew it would probably be the last time she ever saw him, but telling him he had given her the greatest life is just not even true! Maybe telling him she had always loved him, but not acting like he had been a wonderful husband, because he was awful!

I dunno, life and relationships are more complicated than that. She has said before that they have had good times and those are the ones she is choosing to remember. She wasn't the best wife, either.
