Luke is played by Jahzir Kadeem Bruno and her grandmother by Octavia Spencer. Interestingly, Jahzir Kadeem Bruno don't have any character assigned in iMDB even though he's Luke, the main character. I guess they did that to delay any backlash because of the blackwashing of the main characters.
Of course, the villain is still a white witch, and the witches will be mostly white, if not all. If there's a good witch, chances are she'll be black or hispanic.
