Since they're fictional characters up against real people, I'd say they have a good chance of winning - if their author wrote that outcome!
shareBut if Cole and Hitch were real, and the four books Robert B. Parker wrote about their adventures were the actual memoirs of a real Everett Hitch, you would have to say that in terms of track records, Cole and Hitch were the far deadlier pair. In real life, Wyatt Earp killed probably fewer then ten people (most of his killings were group efforts) and Holliday probably about the same (again mostly group efforts, during the Vendetta); while by the end of the fourth Cole & Hitch book, Virgil Cole has probably killed about thirty guys and Hitch probably half that. And Cole is supposed to have run up a score before he met Hitch and Hitch began chronicling their adventures,
