OK, I agree about Renee Zellweger...
...but Diane Lane has already played this part in Lonesome Dove. Maybe that's why she pulled out, it would have been the same type. Renee Z. was miscast, however, that is for sure. And Diane Lane is actually too beautiful for this part, which is what I thought in Lonesome Dove also. Someone in-between would have been perfect, and I'll leave that speculation to others...lol.
