Best Western since the High Noon!
And the best Ed Harris´ movie ever.
shareNo way, there's no way it's better than something like Unforgiven.
And this isn't even Ed Harris' best movie where he stars along with Viggo Mortensen...

Peter you have no clue what you are talking about.
shareBest Western since Unforgiven, maybe. About on a level with the 3:10 to Yuma remake, IMHO. I didn't much like High Noon. Better Westerns since that include The Searchers, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, all the Leone Westerns, almost all Eastwood's films (except maybe Paint Your Wagon), Ride the High Country, The Ballad of Cable Hogue, The Wild Bunch, Silverado, Unforgiven, and Lonesome Dove.
And Ed Harris' best film is probably Pollock.

OPEN RANGE and 1959 WARLOCK easily in top 10.
shareAbout on a level with the 3:10 to Yuma remake, IMHO.I think it's right up there with The Missing, Open Range and 3:10 to Yuma as being certainly the best of the past 10 years or so. Give me any of the them any day over The Assassination of Jesse James etc.
