Nice little touch

So Everett spends the entire film carrying around his badass 8 gauge shotgun, I think it's suggested early in the film, to increase his chances of hitting the target.

He seems happy to play second fiddle to the legendary Virgil Cole, who we are told numerous times is quick on the draw.

Then at the end he assumes a duelling stance more liken to a 18th century Frenchman, Bragg never stood a chance.

That one little detail suggested to me a whole new backstory to his character, almost like I'd underestimated him.

He also seems to be well educated, as evidenced by the rich vocabulary he shares with virgil

Well, Everett DID go to West Point....

"Yeah, I'm a loser at the top of my game. I shoulda known to keep an eye on you...."

Didn't his father go there as well? Either way, it would probably put Everett in the top 20% of all educated people in the world at that time.
