I can't believe!
Why are fans not more upset this show ended? It was what Sci-fi is all about, and is a tragedy to be cancelled, despite it's respectable run.

I can assure you, that the fans are very upset, but a lot of the topics that was made about it was deleted in one of IMDb's cleanings on the boards, which happens once or twice a year.
People has learned to live with the sad fact, that it was cancelled and that there is absoluetly nothing we can do about it.
I was fully expectin a "bring back Eureka' Facebook page or something, at least an effort to get this travesty rectified. Do people still want it back?

What's the use any way ? It still won't bring the show back. The producers decided to cancel the show one year before they even wrote the final episode.
Its over and thats the way it is.
yeah I believe that!! especially as the writers had two weeks to write the end script as they didnt know the end was coming, thats why its so rushed and wrapped up with dr grant

persen, where exactly did you get that info? Because it is 100% false. The producers wanted the show to go on. SciFi pulled the plug on it at the last minute and we almost got screwed out of a finale thanks to them. This all happened AFTER they were green lit for another season, then SciFi all of a sudden said "nope, you're not getting another season after all, you're cancelled after this one." The producers had to fight to get us that finale. SciFi gave them 1 or 2, can't remember since it's been so long, more ep(s) to end it.
So it was not decided a year before the finale was written, it was very last minute. Don't get me wrong, I liked the finale just fine, but had the producers had more warning, they could have had the writers write a way better finale, but they were rushed so didn't have as much time to think about how to end it.
Minds are like books, they only function when open.
It's only fair to ask where you are getting your information from, because my recollection (from reading entertainment news around the time that Eureka entered its final season) was that they knew Eureka was going to be cancelled before the season began.
shareI recently watched on Hulu a panel in which Jaime Paglia talks about this. It was extremely last minute that they found out they weren't getting a shortened 6th season, so he asked the network for one more episode to finish things up. Thankfully they got it, but had only a few days to write it before they started filming it. They did an awesome job.
