What happened between season 3 and 4?

On Netflix, the show goes from ep 3.18 to ep 4.1 and suddenly Carter and Tess are broken up. Was there a special episode somewhere between seasons that isn't on Netflix? It showed a "previously on Eureka" and had a brief scene of Carter and a (holographic?) Tess, and then the 4th season starts. What did I miss?

m-bachand is right. The "previously on Eureka" scene is all there is.

Some time traveling thing happened and they returned to an alternate timeline. They as in Carter, Fargo, Allison, Jo, and Henry.

As mentioned by another poster, the "previously on Eureka" is most of what you'd need to get caught up.
