The Artifact

What is it?

Watch the rest of season 2.

For discussion in a message board, not simply being referred to watching the show: what is it?

reply

If you've noticed, the show has been off the air for two years and the story arc you are discussing is six years old. People are upset with the show because they didn't resolve plot lines fully. The artifact is a good example.

It was suppose to be an antenna to the Akashic field.

I found it amusing how by the end of the second season EVERYONE including the Consortium had full understanding on what the item was after it died.

Thank you for your response.

That is odd that everyone ends up understanding what it is. So the thing "dies"? Strange, too, that such an epic object (or entity) wouldn't be written in as having a much more dominant role in the overall story arc of the series.

reply

"Dies" may not be the right phrase. Try "It is destroyed".

It was the primary story arch for the first two seasons. I was hoping it would be brought back for the series final but they never did.

I've always wondered who Beverley Barlow was talking to using the hologram in the first season... they never really show you who was behind it all

reply

I liked to think it was the future leaders of Eureka from an alternate timeline, rather than just the distant future. But we never did get full clarity on Beverly and those holographic bosses. It was one of my favourite aspects of the shows.
