Charles Grant of Season 4

Don't want to get into the whole time-warp continuum thingy since it tends to get confusing and contradictory. But I was wondering since Grant, an extremely important physicist of his time, was teleported to the future, then the Grant in the past would've ceased to exist and all of his works (mostly theoretical physics), including the Einstein-Grant bridge, also never existed. Wouldn't that have a world-wide major impact to the future, but as Henry stated, the changes are mostly affecting around Eureka. Just wanted others' opinion on this.

(Yes, I know it's a sci-fi tv show and anything is possible, even things that don't make sense)

Maybe Grant wasn't as important as history made him out to be?

Eureka was a place where revolutionary ideas went to die. Everything invented there, cures to disease, things that could save billions of lives and improve mankind, were just scrapped or kept secret. They never produced anything for anybody or made life better for anybody. It seems the only two fields of science they allowed technology to escape from were space exploration and weapons, two things that did nothing to benefit humanity. So Grant being at Eureka meant all his discoveries would have stayed in Eureka, only affecting Eureka's past. And since brilliant became dime-a-dozen, most of the things he developed/discovered were probably soon replicated and kept secret by others.

...Also it made for an easy excuse to not have to go back and fix the timeline.

You lost me, and your thoughts seemed to be false. Maybe you should watch this again, as far as nothing benefiting humanity. Your words, not mine. You sound like a bithc mad at a poor decision. Don't blame Eureka.

Surely you realize Eureka isn't a real place? I can't actually blame a fictional city for not releasing fictional technology to actual humanity. I can however point out that the entire premise of the show was about classifying and never releasing brilliant life-saving technology.
