s5 e 13 left it up in the air as to eureka continuing on under private funding... did i miss it or has no studio picked up this series and continued it on?

You mean the series finale from four years ago? Yeah, the ship has sailed on another studio picking the series up. Not that many of us wouldn't love to see the show brought back, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Also, it wasn't "up in the air" -- Dr. Grant did, in fact, buy the town and we are left to assume things continued as before, only with fewer government restrictions and probably a smaller budget (since no one man, billionaire or not, can match the government's coffers.)

Never too late for a movie (which the cast suggested and applauded in the S5 interview on the DVD). Firefly had ONE season and a movie 3 years later. COME ON!!!

I refuse to be outwitted by a 2-dimensional character in a cheap romantic thriller!

The problem is a good majority of the main cast doesn't want to do it. Salli Richardson and I believe Jordan Hinson both said they don't publicly. I'm sure Colin Ferguson would love to though since he's been reduced to Maytag commercials.
