the good, the bad, the ridiculous
The good: a few snappy lines of dialogue that are actually funny.
The bad: this is one of the sloppiest modern day picts I've seen. From the lame first family dinner scene with Broderick's son and daughter seated on one side of dinner table to make the shot easier for blocking as opposed to having any sort of logic or realism. There is also the absolutely worst-looking cold and most phony studio soundstage scenes in recent history. The actors are supposedly out in the cold, both in the middle of the night and in daylight scenes, and not once do you see their breath. Hey, I'm not asking for super-realism but this is weak.
The ridiculous: I actually got a laugh over Jewish actors playing goy in a Christmas picture. Broderick and Davis? Oi vey. Of course, they are not the first. What is really funny is that some goy in the midwest probably think those two are nice Christians in real life. Now that's acting!
