Why couldn't they see their house on 'my earth'???

Is it just me or was there no explanation as to why they couldn't see their own house on that website? Why could they see the neighbor's house but not their own?????????

Its not just you, like 95% of this movie's lameness, this "minor" point or rather the entire point to the movie was never explained. Like the butter by the same name, I still can't believe i watched this to the end.

I was more confused about why Buddy Hall was worried about putting lights on his house to make it "show up" when most, if not all, satellite photo map images are daylight.

Is there an alternate version of satellite photo maps I'm not aware of?

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
