During the Christmas carnival, Buddy and Steve act like complete brats so their wives tell them to stay put and not move until they apologize. Steve says they can't agree on anything and they're standing in a perfect view for the show with the Santa's Babies...3 women in short dresses, thongs and fishnet stockings with their backs to the audience. Buddy says that's something they can agree on and he kind of eggs Steve on to encourage the dancers, and Steve calls out to the girls 'who's your daddy? Who's your daddy?', the the dancers turn around and he finds out one of them is his 15 year old daughter.

reply

yea and the other two are buddy's daughters

reply

They are not...least I don't think so, if I recall, Ashley and Emily were with their mother, they certainly were when the race started.

reply

it was defentily their dauthers

reply

If it WAS all three of them, why did they only close up on Madison? You could only see part of one of the other dancers.

reply

Turn in your imdb membership card immediately. You are not qualified to post if you can't figure out that the 2 blondes were Buddy's twins...!!!

reply

That part was so funny in this movie. I wasn't expecting that lol. Danny Devito cracks me up.

R.I.P. Uncle Steve

reply

i don't recall thongs or butt sheeks.

reply

because the focus was not on the twins, it was on mr. finch's daughter.

reply

All three of them were dancing coz buddy was also washing his eyes out with the holy water, remember?

reply

yea why else would buddy be washin his eyes out? he felt guilty for ogeling his neighbor's hot daughter?

reply

Well let's face it, Buddy's a freak but he's not an out and out pervert...15 is young even for him, and being his neighbor's mousy little 15 year old daughter I don't think that wouldn't bother him.

reply

washing his eyes out with the holy water

That was hysterical.

Yes it is true and it's perfectly OK as far as the morals of Hollywood goes. Hollywood's city council recently passed a resolution stating that "Incest is best" and that "incest keeps it in the family". Nice, huh?

And people wonder why I can't stand most movies made today. WTF ever happened to something family friendly?

Look around. Not every movie is the same

"I'm not so sure this is, structurally speaking, such a good time for your, uh, buddies to drop in."

reply

That is an interesting little bit of news about the Hollywood city council..... The interesting thing is try as I might I cannot find any reference to it anywhere else on the web?!?!?!?!?!?
Could you possibly set up a link in here for us to take a look at this resolution or could it be that you are full of BS.

The whole point of the scene was that they did not know who the girls on stage were, it's not the first time this ploy has been used in a movie & it certainly wont be the last nor is it the exclusive domain of Hollywood I have seen this done in French, German & even Chinese movies.

Get a life folks THIS IS A COMEDY MOVIE & IT WAS A JOKE it's not a sign of the further slide into depravity of western values nor is it a suggestion that pedophilia or incest are acceptable It's a joke about a couple of guys looking at some hot girls dancing & their abject horror when they realize they are their daughters.

Personally even though I saw it coming I found it hilarious & so did the half dozen people in my living room when I first watched it.

Why don't you all start worrying about things that actually matter & stop whining about things you think you can put a perverted spin on if I thought like you I would be more concerned about my values than those of Hollywood.

There is no Hollywood City Council as Hollywood lays within the city limits of Los Angeles. There is (or was) an honorary mayor of Hollywood but it was just honorary and not a real position in the government.

What an incredibly bizarre thing to say... I can't quite comprehend why someone would make up such ridiculous (and easy to disprove) crap and post it here...

Because that's the internet mentality geared for the age we live in: Hollywood is bad and morally bankrupt, no matter what they release for films. There are some truly family-oriented films released every year, but no one focuses on them because it disproves their personal, negative, stereotypical theory of the film industry. Also, the scene mentioned in "Deck the Halls" is not nearly as unacceptable or lewd as some have made it out to be. The morals of the situation are actually accounted for with the comedic gem of using holy water to wash their eyes out (as a previous poster mentioned).

if you remember in the movie,, the 3 girls all had their back's turned to the men,, they had no way of knowing that from 30 or 40 feet away,, in skimpy customes that it was their daughters.. Im sure they were turned on,, till of course they realized who the girls were,,, i.e. the holy water scene.

are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite

reply

they didn't act horny just playfull, it was on the balance.
