Filming locations revealed

I wanted to point out all these location shots for those of you that don't know. Most of Mr. Brooks was filmed on location in and around Shreveport, LA which is my hometown, and if you live in the area you most likely will see parts from the movie all around, especially downtown.

1. The Mr. Brooks home is located off of Cross Lake in Shreveport, LA-good luck trying to get to it!
2. The neon lit bridge that Brooks and Marshall drive over is E.Texas St. US 79/80-Long/Allen Bridge going from Shreveport to Bossier.
3. The office where Mr. Brooks works is the convention center in downtown Shreveport right across from a Hilton.
4. Peter's Liquor-on Barksdale Blvd in Bossier.
5. The cemetery where Smith dies is right off Milam St. close to downtown Shreveport-actually 1st cemetery in the city, but the area around there is very run down. If you visit this place there's a sign with a star saying Mr. Brooks filming 2007.
6. Where Brooks and Smith are driving in the car-where they nearly wreck is Youree Dr. right across from a target and Sam's-you can see Ruby Tuesday's and Golden Corral right off the road. Ruby Tuesday's today is no longer there.
7. When Brooks and Smith are in the car we see Mansfield Rd. US 171/Jewella exit sign, this is an actual exit sign on LA3132 exit 5 going west in South Shreveport.
8. The Strand-in downtown Shreveport.
9. The scene where Mr. Brooks(disguised) gets out of the cab is Douglas and Sprauge St.
10. Atwood and Hawkins driving up the hwy-Teague Parkway in Bossier.
11. Rite Aid-off E. Texas St. in Bossier.
12. The couples house is in South Highlands in Shreveport on Oneonta close to Fairfield Ave.-the high rise apmt. building is false-a green screen.
13. Ice Cream parlor where Mr. and Mrs. Brooks sit down and eat at the beginning of the movie is Texas St. downtown-across the street we see the dance couple upstairs which is the artspace building.
14. Bath's is on Market St. downtown-where we see Brooks and Smith walking around.
15. Man of the Year ceremony-at Scottish Rite Cathedral at the corner of Cotton/Common St. across from the Fairmont Apartment building.
16. The church where the AA meeting is is also at the corner of Cotton/Common St.-there is also a sign outside showing you that Mr. Brooks was filmed there.
17. Atwood chasing after Sarah Leeves and where Sarah dies-believed to also be inside Scottish Rite in the stairwell.
18. Overhead shots and aerial views was Portland-all the shots at night over the city, Jane's college, etc.
