The score is so B-grade...
Jarred me out of the film which is a pretty interesting concept.
I guess they had to cut corners somewhere but that score will age terribly.

Really? I thought the sound and atmosphere of the soundtrack is pretty amazing and iconic. I think it will age well in the sense that it will anchor the movie to the time it was shot in, similar to how the soundtrack of "the thing" anchors it to the 80s. Just hearing the theme music pulled me into watching Mr. Brooks again.
Ramin Djawadi did an amazing job. He also composed for Game of Thrones, Iron Man, The Strain, Warcraft and ltos of others. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1014697/
I especially like the theme music for the thumbprint killer, although it's pretty simple: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZuMay8RyvY
The end scene / credit song "Vicious Traditions" by The Veils also fits amazing to the scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpX5mffn4EA
