I would love to see a film like Maleficent but with the Shadow Man. It would be amazing. I would love to know about his back story and with all of these disney retellings I really hope it happens someday. There is so much that they could do!
Like a love triangle. Maybe a young Facilier was in love with eudora before she got with Tiana's dad.

I think it would be quite interesting to explore why he was so afraid of his friends on the other side, and why he got in business with them (perhaps at the expense of a lover?). I think it would be visually stunning (Imagine the scenery and costuming of The Great Gatsby for the real world and then "the other side" could be as magical as Maleficent's world or Wonderland). Plus expand on Mama Odie rumor has it he was supposed to be her son who went to the dark side and they were to have a magical mother-son showdown at Mardi Gras - can we see that explored please?
I was thinking it could be called "Doctor Facilier," but I like the title, "Shadow Man," better. I think it would be nice to have a cameo of Naveen walking into his shop at the end of the story.

I love your ideas! "Shadow Man" is cool but I think "Doctor Facilier" might be more intriguing Facilier did joke that he was royalty so it would make sense that Mama Odie was his mother or grandmother. And a showdown would be great.
If Facilier, "Big Daddy" La Bouff new each other in childhood or teens it would set up the mood for TPATP.
It would be great seeing him going to those new Orleans Jazz clubs and showing of his cool dance moves.
Maybe it would explain why Dr. Facilier didn't have the mental facility to come up with a less convoluted scheme to acquire money. Geez! His plot in the movie was waaaaay too convoluted.
