He looks to be of some kind of East Indian/Middle Eastern descent.
He's definitely up there in the looks department (as far as animated Princes go), and his playful personality makes him even more attractive.
However, I also think Prince Phillip (of Sleeping Beauty) was always one of the best-looking princes out there.

i agree. and part of it is not just his looks, it's his charm that makes him attractive. i think he's mixed race/middle eastern. definitely one of the most memorable princes, especially compared to the older ones who had little to say and almost no personality
