Going back to the X-men Evolution Continuity...

Since a lot of the same people were involved in X-men Evolution and this series I wouldn't be opposed to them picking up a few years down the line of where "Evolution" left off. Disney actually shows two of the previous X-men series. Given that they play "Evolution" almost everyday on Disney XD they could have the power to greenlight a continuation of the series with an older team. They could even bring back a lot of the original voices or recast based on the time frame of age for some from the last episode to the continuation.

They could show:

-Multiple evolving into Madrox
-Colossus and Kitty becoming an item
-Gambit officially joining the team
-Sinister introducing himself and his Mauraders
-Rogue gaining her Ms. Marvel powers
-Basically almost all of the flasbacks at the end of the last episode could be story arcs or have already taken place
-And most importantly DEADPOOL!

Didn't realize this until aftter I posted and was flipping around the listings but they actually play X-men: Evolution EVERYDAY on Disney XD. I would be very surprised if Disney doesn't commission any X-men series down the line. Especially with their interest in Marvel with "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" debuting in the fall and "Ultimate Spider-man" in Fall 2011.

True, but hopefully the people running Disney XD see some potential in a future X-men series given their current interest in the characters. And yeah know, the fact that Disney kind of bought Marvel a few months back...lol.

That's probably NEVER going to happen. The closest we got to being like the comic was the 90s X-Men animated series, which also did it's own thing, at times. Considering how big "re-imaginings" are nowadays, I doubt the next X-Men animated series(if we ever get one), will stick closer to the comics. I mean, the majority of the modern Marvel cartoons(starting with X-Men Evolution) have been "re-imagine" takes on the classic comics.
