Second Season, Yes? No?
So, I noticed with the release of this full season box set, it says the complete series, not the complete season one, which makes me wonder if MARVEL has balked at doing a second season. Anyone, know?

shareIt was confirmed a couple of months ago that there will be no second season, due to a lack of financing (at least that's Marvel's official answer). Since there will be no more W&TXM, you only get a complete series of 26 episodes.
shareWhat is is with MARVEL? The Fantastic Four, one season, Spectacular Spider-Man, two seasons, Wolverine and the X-Men, one season. They can't keep a steady series on the air, for some reason.
shareWell with Spectacular Spidey & W&TXM I believe the problem boiled down to ownership issues as well as lack of funding for W&TXM - Marvel having been recently purchased by Disney while TSSM belonged to Sony and W&TXM to Lionsgate. It's also rumored that Joe Quesada really wanted the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon to get on the air & that may have also been a factor in nixing W&TXM in favor of the Avengers, who've never had a really strong animated series.
shareIt's just as soon as I get into one of their series, I hear later on, through some particular reason, that it's been cancelled. Personally, I'm looking forward to this new Avengers series, but right now, I'm looking at it has a MINI-SERIES. I'm also dying to check out that MARVEL ANIME coming to G4, well, all of them except for their interpretatioon of WOLVERINE, which I don't particularly like. But, I'm dying to see how the X-MEN look in anime. I've already seen snippets of IRON MAN, and it looks very cool.
shareI admit the constant cancelling of shows doesn't inspire viewers to invest in a particular product.
