In the trailiers that I have seen for this movie, the scene that was emphasized and repeated over and over was the part at the resturant where Rock says that he would not let Jackson watch his kids on television. This had nothing to do with the plot. I guess the film makers thought that these few seconds of a black male bashing another would draw more audiences to the film or as a way to take another swipe at Jackson and focus on black in-fighting.

It's not unusual for him to make fun of black people, either. If he sees something that needs to be ridiculed, he will not shy away from it.
