Michael Jackson bashing

In the trailiers that I have seen for this movie, the scene that was emphasized and repeated over and over was the part at the resturant where Rock says that he would not let Jackson watch his kids on television. This had nothing to do with the plot. I guess the film makers thought that these few seconds of a black male bashing another would draw more audiences to the film or as a way to take another swipe at Jackson and focus on black in-fighting.

Michael Jackson is a PEDOPHILE, what don’t you get about that? It has nothing to do with race. It’s about one man making fun of a HUGELY famous man who enjoys sleeping with little boys. Simple.

It's actually one of the funniest lines in the movie and it's only natural that it would be used in the trailer, even if it had nothing to do with the rest of the movie.

That conversation is taken from one of Chris Rock's stand-up routines, and given that he is the producer, I think he had a lot of say about which of his own material he would use. It's not unusual for him to make fun of black people, either. If he sees something that needs to be ridiculed, he will not shy away from it.
