How many married guys would run away.... (Spoiler)

from Nikki at the end of the movie with a tie wrap around your head like Chris? Remember...draws off and begging for you

reply

I would have stayed with her, because he had a terrible marriage and his wife was the one who never wanted to have sex. The best ending would have been for him and Nicky to end up with eachother. The wife, Brenda, was terrible. No man wants a woman like that.

reply

If I was gonna run away it would have been way before this. By the time I have her drawerss in my hand it's too late. I'll deal with the guilt later.

well put. deal with the guilt later

i was yelling at my tv for him to crush that chick. then he saw himself in the mirror and i almost died.

Zapp: Kif, I'm feeling the captain's itch.
Kif: I'll get the powder, sir.

reply

I figured he was going to run away. But if it was me - once I made the commitment to go there then it would have been all over! But I would have felt terrible afterwards. Until the second round anyway.

Vista thinks Kerry is HOT!

LOL!!!
I can't say I wouldn't hit it too...But...I'd remind myself that she knows where I work, and probably where i live too!

reply

EXACTLY! NOBODY what's a women like that. She wasn't even cute...

reply

VistaXP, I feel that exact same way. I would have been trying to avoid Nikki like the plague but if by some miracle I let it get that far it would be too late. Being married for 10+ years, a woman that fine, that direct and who clearly doesn't give two-$**ts about my family is not someone I need to be around, at all. Still, temptation is a helluva drug. This movie may not be the best but it hits home on alot of points.

I saw you! Eyyyye-balling me when I came the door. You're all up in my goodies!

reply

Man I don't condone cheating, but once you were their and you took off her panties and kissed her inner thigh, you've already cheated. So I would have ravished her!!! Oh would I have ravished her!! But as strong as lust and temptation is, guilt is just as strong if you listen!!

He didn't have a terrible marriage. I'd say it is about normal.

Staying with her would have been the worst ending, if you think about the kids not having their father at home anymore. And it's a comedy, so you couldn't have that. lol

Probably none. But it's their own fault for getting in that deep in the first place. Many men wouldn't have got to that stage to begin with.

reply

Yeah, you are right radiotheatre-1 but remember that toward the end, Nikki actually got engaged (something unimaginable) and was getting married. So, I guess at that point Richard (Chris) thought that she was not gonna do any "funny" business. That was why he agreed to say goodbye to her, and even then he was very reluctant to do so. But I think the fact was that Richard was'nt just thinking about getting Nikki into bed, he did all that for her because she was his friend (and resisted the urge to get intimate with her in doing so, because of his marriage).

Pity it was not a French Director...

He would have made love to her (or better, she would have made love to him), then Nikki would have convinced Chris' wife to sleep with her, and in the last scene, you can see a nice family reunion whith Chris, his wife and Nikki having a hot sex party all together
Every one's happy!!!

Ah!... but the boooooooring US Directors have always to make it family-style, politically correct, and sexually ... flat...

The ending was a sellout in my opinion. I thought they wanted to end this on a positive note by making Chris Rock's character faithful. That is fine, but there is no man in real life who could be in bed with a woman as fine as Kerry Washington who is half naked and wants you and then get up and leave! I would have shanked her like a stool pigeon walking across the exercise yard!
I faced a similar situation years ago and leaving was the last thing on my mind. We had burn the house down sex! I dealt with the guilt afterward.
It would have been more appropriate for Chris to fracked her then dealt with the consequences of his actions. It would have been a more effective movie. Just my opinion though.

Depends how much you love your wife...

It's made from bits of real panther, so you know it's good...

reply

I believe the his kids had a lot to do with it, not his wife.

reply

I agree with that, his whole life would go up in smoke, not just his marraige.

reply

I wouldn't blame him if he cheated his wife is not having sex with him. But I say the kids are the ones that actually stopped him from cheating...

reply

Max, i 100% agree with you. When he looked in the mirror it wasn't his marriage he saw ending, it was everything. Temptation is a hell of a thing. Like Chris Rock once said in his standup, "A man can't stop chasing (women), but when (women) start chasing us, we can't run that fast." Women didn't need another "man cheating on his wife" movie. Men needed a "dude seeing the error in his ways" movie.

reply

Chris Rock's famous line/joke, "A man is as faithful as his options"!

reply

I couldn't do it. As fine as Kerry was in this movie, I'm hip enough to know that a woman like that is NOTHING but trouble. Once you go there, you can never take it back and I am a firm believer in karma. Not to mention if Chris Rock's wife had found out, that is grounds for divorce, paying ALIMONY, entitled to half your retirement and now you paying child support and living with yo momma.

A piece of ass is just not worth a lifetime of drama and financial headache. Seen plenty of my boys go through it, I have learned from those idiots lol.
