Reviews say it's an excellent movie and one of Elijah's bestperformances

And as someone who saw the movie, I totally agree with that!

Can't wait to see it partly because of the acting; Elijah never disappoints.

A few people are getting agitated because they think it is anti-war; it isn't - it is about the personal reactions of 3 different people who are suddenly drafted. Elijah's character wants to serve his country with honour but is afrad that he won't be able to. The draft notice brings to a head all the other aspects of his life that are going wrong. Due to his psychological state, the draft notice destroys his fragile ability to cope with his life.

Its a really well made movie and i enjoyed it

I saw the movie twice at Tribeca. I didn't really know what to expect but I loved the film. And I fully agree with reviews that say that it's one of Elijah's best performances. It's such a pity that "Day Zero" doesn't get a wide release, it so deserves it.

Yes, it definitely deserved a wide release. It's a very good movie.

1 or 2 reviews are moaning because it didn't dwell on the political side of the draft; or the reviewer is displeased because it could be viewed as anti-war. In fact it's perfectly legitimate to dwell mainly on the emotional reactions of 3 men who were not prepared to be drafted and had lived in a country wherte they had no expectation of being drafted.

Sigh. Already out of theaters. Now we just wait for DVD
