How does it comes to other Kar Wai Wong films?

I absolutely loved In the Mood, 2046 & Days of Being Wild - so how does this stack up? His choice to make an american film, and use jude law most specifically really puzzles me -so how is it in comparison? Does it carry the same feeling?

It doesn't have the same aura as the 2046 trilogy, but I still liked it. It's a more light-hearted movie, similar to Chungking Express.
