So she lost her money so they didn't have anything and then all of the sudden both of them are driving a car. Did I miss something?
shareYep. She won that last poker hand but pretended otherwise. Gave a couple of reasons for the fib - wanted to keep the money, wanted company, wanted to see how gullible Beth was - not sure which, if any, we're supposed to believe.
