David Strathairn and Rachel Weisz
Strathairn and Weisz give phenomonal performances. They save this film from being a total write-off.

They are both good actors but the script does not give them much to work with. Norah Jones is not an actress. This proves it. She should stick to writing songs. That she is VERY good at. The whole thing is embarrassingly amateurish. But it seems to have it's fans. Who knew...
shareDavid Strathairn's performance - short as it was - was Oscar-worthy. From Day-time cop to Night-time sorrow was the work of a master of the craft. His character could easily be enlarged into a story and feature film.
Rachel Weisz played a very unlikeable woman shackled to a man who worshiped her. Her accent and speech complemented her irritating and repulsive personality.
