Two animated flicks from The Weinstein Company...

There have been two animated releases from THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY already.
First, HOODWINKED, which didn't receive too many big favors from the critics or the audiences, and now this one.
It's good that this new, emerging independent producer is expanding and getting so diverse so quickly; let's just hope it doesn't get burned too quickly.

Peace!! :)

It's not from the Weinstein Company, it's just distributing it for the US.

It's actually a French/British production redubbed for American audiences.

I disagree with you saying critics and audiences didn't much like Hoodwinked. Crtics were pretty much on the edge with it, but the audience loved it. The cinemascore was high among all age groups as it does have humor that adults can chuckle at, instead of it being completely for the kids. The IMDB rating is pretty high too for such a lowbrow movie.

Yes, of all the cr&p that came out at that time, audiences liked "Hoodwinked" most. In recognition of this honor, we should ignore the terrible animation, character-rendering, and storyline.

The Weinsteins aren't producers, they're distributers. Both Hoodwinked and Doogal were made buy other companies, they just bought the rights.

I stand corrected.

the critics didn't toally dis hoodwinked.
they just felt it was geared towards a different audience.
considering most of the critics are over their 30s.
sure, a parody about a favorite kid tale should attract people of more ages,
but what do you expect, to keep the humour sleek and sophisticated, while having the younger kids go, whaaa?
but yea,
critics were in agreement and disagreement about the film.
